NINE LESSONS & CAROLS

A traditional service of readings and carols telling the Christmas story, sung by Fenham Ensemble and directed by Simon Davies-Fidler.
​
In addition to some traditional carols, and modern arrangements of well-known carols, we also can't wait to perform two beautiful pieces which are new to us this year:
Veni Veni by Michael John Trotta and The Sleeping Child by Bob Chilcott, both stunning carols. We'll also be singing some of our favourites including Tavener's The Lamb; Herbert Howells' Here is the Little Door; Jesus Christ the Apple Tree by Elizabeth Poston; Away in a Manger arranged by Ola Gjeilo; and I Saw Three Ships by our very own Len Young, along with many more favourites and plenty for the congregation to join in with too.
